A Dream Realized: Alumaweld Blackhawk

Dan & Alyssa are a young couple from Snohomish. They have been dreaming of a new boat, one that would allow them to explore Puget Sound and take advantage of great fishing and crabbing. They want to instill their love of the outdoors with their growing family, and what better way to do so than spending summers on the water. They needed a boat that would provide the family a soft ride, plenty of space, and safe for the little one. The 3 Rivers Marine crew wanted to help this couple fulfill their dreams and turn them into a reality.

The Alumaweld Blackhawk 202 was the perfect boat for the young couple. This model features a heavy-gauge welded aluminum hull with a deep Vee, offering a smooth ride in the open water. The standard Alumadrive bracket pushes back the main outboard from the transom, increasing the amount of deck space, adds room for an in-transom fish box and allows for the safety of a full height transom. With models in 18 and 20 foot, it’s a great choice for anyone looking for versatility and comfort ability in one hull.

And with a few special modifications, we turned their new boat into a saltwater fishing machine, with all the creature comforts.

Outfitted with the new Yamaha F115, this redesigned outboard model is lighterweight, has a larger alternator and adds and extra 1000 RPM’s compared to its predecessor. Yamaha High-Thrust 9.9hp kicker motor which makes for easy trolling and plumbed with a hot wash basin makes for easy cleanup.

Scotty electric downriggers with a long boom sets this couple up for successful salmon fishing in the Sound.

The electronics configuration is dialed, with a Lowrance HDS 7 sonar/gps unit with a NEEMA Network Connection that fully integrates all the necessary operating information on the screen, removing the need for a cluster of gauges on the dash, plus a Sonic Hub Sound System. We went fully digital on this one!

Being stored outdoors on a wooded property, Dan & Alyssa needed to find a solution to keep fir needles from littering the deck and getting into the bilge. We were happy to take on the challenge. 3 Rivers Marine engineered a custom slant-back marine grade cover that will keep their boat looking great, throughout the seasons.

With a little hard work and customization, Dan & Alyssa are ready to have some great on the water experiences for years to come!
